The advantages of going with dry toner label presses are durability of print, the quality of the output, especially on graphic images requiring high definition even vignettes, wider variety of printable medias at a reduced media cost because no special coatings are required and dry toners are chemical and water resistant by nature, often not requiring additional finishing such as post laminates.
It's important that the printing materials used are able to withstand the high diffusing temperatures though, up to 190 degrees Celsius. Thus this technology is not suitable for certain applications like hot-melt adhesive label printing for example.
